POP GOES THE GIO started four years ago with a new “Cabaret with a Twist” format performing pop music on the piano with comedy, celebraty gossip and much more. Gio and his cast perform pop, country, rock, R&B, and Motown from the 70’s through today’s top hits. Performing since the age 6 and having won many accolades since,he has been featured on MTV’s “Making The Band 4”, NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and was the winner of the “Evanston IDOL 2006”. Gio is currently seeking a Label to help further his career to the next level.

A resident of Chicago, Gio comes from Middle-Eastern descent and brings a whole new element to the music scene. With a sultry voice and R&B sound, his voice is like no other. On his first album he worked with many Chicago area producers. GIO also wrote and co-wrote some of his songs on the album entitled “WELCOME 2 THE REMIX.” It's an R&B and Pop Dance album with hot songs like “I DO LOVE YOU.” The album propelled GIO into the national spotlight giving him the opportunity to perform across the country with Blind Eye Records®.

His sophomore album “ALL OUT OF LOVE” features production by Rainbow Records in Minnesota. He had the opportunity to record in Prince’s old studio. The album was a prize won from winning Minnesota Idol in 2003. The creative involvement of being a songwriter/recording artist made GIO more hands on with this album. It allowed him to fill it with future hits, thus showcasing his skills as both a premiere vocalist and a talented songwriter. "The album has a lot of variety to it," says GIO “. . . more than I could ever have asked for my second album . . . “

Speaking about his early musical experiences, GIO laughs, "I remember singing with an invisible microphone. My cousins would be my dancers and I sang songs." Encouraged by his family who recognized his musicality, GIO began taking his performance on the road, performing at weddings and local charity events. "I started to get feedback from the people I sang to. They told me my singing really touched them," he says. "I never realized my music could have that effect. People would tell me I had a God-given blessing. I know this is just the beginning!"
